May your days be merry and bright! …And, here are some great ideas to brighten them :)
I'm heading Ho Ho Home for the holidays! See you next year Los Angeles, I'm homeward bound to wrap up an epic year with my amazing friends and family in Toronto.
Needless to say this past year has been pretty great. I worked my butt off, landed some awesome work and had the pleasure of creating some very cool campaigns with awesome people. I look forward to working with you all again next year!
My move to LA was on a bit of a whim 3 years ago now. Making a move and change is never easy, but there was definitely something calling me. I felt I had to make a shift. Personally, I felt there was something calling me to California and in evaluating the move it had the potential to be smart for my career. So, I went with the pull and gave it a shot. I can honestly say that until this past year I'd been questioning why I'd left my friends, family, property, career and city that I love to bits. Yes, I was busy building a life, making friends and working but it wasn’t until this past year that I finally had my aha moment. Looking back at everything that has happened along my journey, I now have the perspective to see and understand that I'm exactly where I’m supposed to be. Life doesn’t always make sense in the moment. It’s only with time, patience and strength that eventually you can reflect back and finally understand your life path. A friend shared with me Steve Jobs delivering his commencement speech at Stanford. It’s incredibly powerful and grounding. It came to me at the perfect time, just to solidify what I was beginning to realize, that everything is going to be more than OK and I’m exactly where I need to be in life.
I’m excited to announce that coming very soon next year I’ll be launching Food Style Cooking - A series of online cooking tutorials. They are mixed media tutorials that will empower chefs of all levels to not only cook, but how to 'serve it up with style'. The minute they drop I’ll let you know!
Other exciting news for 2016.. I landed Quaker Oats! More work with Sherri’s Berries and Universal Studios. Look out 2016, I can’t wait to see what else is in store.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
